Growth Groups

Growth Groups

In the second chapter of Acts we get a picture of how the early church stayed connected with one another as they enjoyed rapid church growth.  Acts 2: 46-47 says, “They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity – and each day the Lord added to their group those who were being saved.”

A unique way to reinforce growth

The development of Growth Groups puts the power of fellowship and discipleship together in order to strengthen our growth into mature Christians.  We will be kicking off our first semester of Growth Groups in the third week of January.  Now is the time to look over the information, pray and decided which group would best help you become a fully developing follower of Jesus Christ.

We have some great groups lines up for this Spring Semester. Prayerfully consider which group will help you grow closer to Christ and sign up.

In Max Lucado’s How Happiness Happens, he explores passages of Scripture – explaining how practical acts of generosity can produce a life of satisfaction and moments of true joy.  In a world searching for happiness, bestselling author Max Lucado provides a personal plan for a life filled with lasting and fulfilling joy, supported by Jesus’ teaching and modern research.

In this six-session class, he explores several “one another” passages in the Bible that reveal how the happiest people aren’t those who have the most but who are willing to give the most away.

Growing stronger in our faith is at the heart of our calling to follow Christ.  In this class, we will learn about the foundations of growth.  What does it mean to be a disciple of Christ?  How do I become the best disciple I can be?

As we go through the Growth Group, we will be addressing these questions and many more as we are challenged to take a serious look at how our faith can become substantially stronger.  This class is designed to not only study truths about growth, but to learn how to take practical steps that can help anyone get further along in their faith journey.
